What is KDLearning?
KD Learning is an education and research-based organization committed to centering Black voices and transforming learning environments through culturally sustaining practices. Founded by Dr. Kenesma D. John, KD Learning bridges scholarship and practice by providing workshops, curriculum development, consulting, and books for schools, educators, parents, and communities.
Our mission is to empower educators and families to nurture identity, self-esteem, and belonging among students, especially Black girls and youth of color. Through research-driven programming, professional development, and storytelling-based curricula, we equip schools and organizations with the tools to foster inclusive, affirming, and equitable education spaces.

From interactive workshops and continuing education for teachers and mental health professionals, to custom curriculum, KD Learning helps bridge the gap between cultural understanding and educational excellence.
